Project Brief
Our clients, Dev and Matt, approached Ellis Carter looking to transform their compact kitchen into a more functional, multi-purpose space. The goal was not only to modernise the kitchen but also to incorporate a toilet area and additional laundry functionality within a limited footprint.
The property, dating back to the 1700s, presented unique challenges. With restricted space and the quirks of a period home, the project required careful planning, creative design solutions, and a high level of attention to detail to ensure everything worked seamlessly together.
Scope Of Work
Every stage of the project was managed by our experienced team, ensuring a consistent, high-quality finish throughout.
Working within a compact, historic property required a structured and thoughtful approach. We began with a full strip-out, allowing us to assess the space and prepare it for reconfiguration.
From there, our team installed updated plumbing and electrics, ensuring the new layout could support the additional bathroom and laundry features. Stud walls were carefully constructed to maximise space without compromising flow.
Once the structure was in place, we carried out full plastering to create a clean, modern base, followed by the installation of the kitchen, flooring, and woodwork. The final stage involved detailed decorating, bringing the entire space together with a polished, cohesive finish.
The project was completed within a 4-week timeframe, delivering a high-quality result that exceeded expectations.
